The salary was decent, and my coworkers were good to me while I was there.

Cons

Management shifted schedules with no notice several times, and they provided almost no on the job training. They rely almost entirely on you self-training through online modules, and they will just toss you in on the first day not knowing which way is up and hope you figure it out.

Good education and (depending on location) great support and learning from co-workers. It’s a great starting point for those interested in getting into the tax preparation field. Also very flexible hours you can basically make your own schedule.

Cons

How the pay works is awful and you can only qualify for benefits if you work over the summer - which the pay for the summer is worse than the pay during the season.
