Pros

Hackerearth is one of the growing and well known startups. The founders made so much of effort to scale the whole organisation. The company has lot of opportunities to learn and if you start the career in HE its good, except the Marketing team.

Cons

All those teams in HE is very good and they have focus to work on something. But I am part of Marketing team in Hackerearth, the team is something different and the people are very different in the team. The people won't interact with you and they never help you where you got stuck. The current Managers has lot of conflicts with the employees and the Managers even can't take a decision within the given amount of time. The team doesn't know the difference between Marketing and Sales, they are not doing proper Marketing here, they are doing Sales. The Managers are giving pressure to the whole team about leads, it's very hard to generate B2B leads within less amount of time. This will sure affect the long term process, the team Managers are not much concerned about this. Internal team divisions and politics, Language barriers, Lack of team bonding and conflicts within the Managers is also there in the team. So its results in poor work life balance.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to write this review & I'm really sorry to hear that you've had a bad experience working in the marketing team. We've worked so hard to create a company where people are valued and feel empowered to succeed and grow. It's unfortunate that our efforts did not meeting your expectations. On some of the concerns raised, yes we do agree team bonding is imperative to have within/across all teams and I think a significant amount of progress has been made on that front. On having language barriers, we'll take it up and fix it. We have time and again, asked the team to share their feedback and ensure there is open dialogue , ideas shared are always taken into considered and the right forum is provided for all to share their ideas as well. We have a strong marketing team who work relentlessly and do believe in growing together as a team. Our big ambitious goals laid out for the next few years, we admit that sometimes it can become too focused on execution of those goals. Having said that, we are thankful you took the time to share your opinion here so that we can reflect on it and think about ways we can make HackerEarth a great place to work in. For any further concerns, please feel free to reach out to me anytime and I would be more than happy to help :)

Pros

Hackerearth is great place to learn and you will sure get lot of exposure here. The founders are really passionate and they have a clear focus on to scale the company. Open culture and transparent organisation.

Cons

You will be happy here if you are not part of the Marketing team. The Marketing team at Hackerearth is the worst ever team, I have experienced. Because there is no team bonding and the team members will never interact with you unless if you know "Hindi". Of course its completely biased. There is an internal team division and that gap is never filled. Each has different opinions and it ends up in lot of confusions. People in the team will point out the mistakes alone, they never help you out and a lot of micromanagement works will be there. If you want to pursue your career in Marketing, please think before land up here. Please learn Hindi, if you are joining the Marketing team.
