Pros

1. Not a hire-and-fire company. They truly care about their employees. 2. Fair work-life balance 3. Transparency (as much as possible) between the management and employees: - It is easy to talk to the owners of the company. They genuinely listen. - Ideas are not shot down or downplayed. - No BS. 4. Multiple learning opportunities. If you have a clear understanding of what you want to do and how you want to learn, you are given the opportunity to do so. 5. Recognition on doing an outstanding job. Employees who perform well are appreciated. 6. Support is provided in tough working situations. Situations are approached with fairness. Transitions and major changes are explained and questions are answered truthfully.

Cons

1. Due to a set startup culture, the work culture is mostly informal. This hampers the adoption of positive work culture. There must be some amount of professionalism. 2. No set processes or policies because of which adds a degree of uncertainty to the working atmosphere. Priorities are not clear. What you work on today, may not be a priority for the business tomorrow. 3. People are hired for skills and attitude is not given too much importance. This disrupts the working environment and creates a negative working atmosphere.

Thank you for such an encouraging feedback. 1. As we are growing, we are learning too. We hear your feedback and would love to understand the pain areas in detail to be able to address them effectively. 2. Agreed, the business environment we operate in is extremely dynamic and the fast-changing business needs can be frustrating at times. That said, customer satisfaction is our utmost priority and every effort (even if frustrating) is in that direction. In times like these, we suggest you liaise with your manager and understand the drivers behind the change. Your inputs will definitely add value. 3. The co-founders and leadership team @ HE consciously work towards maintaining a culture that is pro-merit and anything but merit. Mutual respect for/at work is one of the core values that we strongly believe in. If you further feel threatened or intimidated by someone's attitude around work please feel free to blow the whistle. Reach out to seemab@hackerearth.com for a conclusive discussion.
