Hair Cuttery once was a good place to work, Not anymore !!!

Good place to start,But do not stay long.

Cons

They give you nothing and want more and more from you. Cut benefits, take away vacations, upper mgmt. does not care about stylists. Claim to have values that they do not do. Quality of life but expect you to work every holiday all day. Cannot take time off. When you go to upper mgmt. they dont want to hear what you have to say and just blow you off. No loyalty to employees!!!!!!!!

Let the stylists concentrate on doing hair, not cleaning and receptionist duties

Pretty good tips Fairly nice co-workers My manager was very nice (assistant manager-not so much) Okay training (could be better) Built in clientele The Redken color line

Cons

-Performing way too many extra duties in addition to hairstyling (cleaning bathrooms, mopping, washing and folding towels, checking in and out clients, having to stop while your doing hair to answer phones, etc) -Going several hours without breaks( when clients are waiting), and if you want one, having an assistant manager tell you to take 5 mins when you're starving (this during an 8 hour shift) -Bad hours -You have to bust your behind to make so so money -Tons of children's haircuts -High turnover -Poor compensation structure (Thank goodness for tips!) -Getting out of the salon 45 mins after closing at time because of cashing out and cleaning!!! And no I did not get fired, I quit because it was too much stress for too little pay. I see that someone else in the Orlando, FL area feels the same way judging by an earlier review!
