The decision to merge HDS and VDC was not taken lightly. We believe it will lead to stronger collaboration, more efficient processes and ultimately, better outcomes across the board. That said, we recognize that rebalancing teams and redefining roles is no small undertaking, and it takes time for everyone to find their footing and feel confident in a new structure. At Harris, collaboration is at the heart of everything we do, especially in our design, engineering and VDC work. A strong rapport between these groups is critical to innovation and success. We believe that by creating smaller teams with better defined workflows, we’ll also create more efficient processes and teams with a stronger foundation of trust from leadership down.
