Pros

You will get to work on mission critical projects. Good learning opportunities.

Cons

Generalizing all peers as the same in the workplace. This can create misunderstandings, limit collaboration, and overlook unique skills and perspectives that each person brings to the table.

Pros

It's one of the companies that value the safety of their employees.

Cons

We are expected to work overtime during peak months but often don't get 40 hours per week during off-peak months.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. While we always work to provide as much stability as we possibly can for our team, we understand the challenges that go with the scheduling fluctuations that can happen as we meet the demands for various projects. We value feedback from our team as we are always trying to improve to meet their needs.

Pros

This is a great work environment. The leadership of my location is made up of the best of the best in the building automation/ controls world. They hold true to the values of the company, working to ensure the best productivity possible and actually express positivity when goals are met. One of my favorite parts is that the leadership is always level with the field techs. There are no power suits, or clear displays of opulence or wealth. They are very skilled at what they do, but also, they're just one of the guys. Which makes trusting their leadership very easy.

Cons

My primary issue, is the disconnect between the national corporate level, and everyone else. Yes, the company is very successful and continues to grow year after year. But when the monthly update from corporate about "safety" or "ethics" is prefaced with, "last year I was vacating in Cabo with my family", or "I know we can all relate to (insert some inherently wealthy experience)", it shows a desperate lack of awareness. In addition, the push continues for growing revenue, while less than half of the national inflation rate is "all they can manage" to approve for a raise. Do more work for the same compensation. Sounds like a one way ticket to a new employee-funded beach house in Lake Tahoe. If only corporate were run by the guys in Salt Lake, I have a feeling things would be much better.
