Pros

Great Exposure to different products/groups Great place to build resume/gain experience

Cons

Incoherent Management HR has obvious contempt for employees HR can't be trusted This is the 'Z' team of Harvard. Lots of under-qualified and overall stupid people work here. Stretched thin due to massive amounts of work and overall employee shortages Far too many contractors, which fosters high turnover rate and confusion.

Pros

Opportunity to work with some of the best minds in business and a global brand leader. Some great people who really care about the mission of the company and work collaboratively to move projects forward.

Cons

Terrible leadership. For a company that makes its living on management content they are one of the worst led companies.

Pros

1. Access to all articles and business cases published by Harvard. 2. Retirement benefits for older people (40+) are good. 3. Work-life balance.

Cons

1. HBP has started using third-party platforms for hosting content, so there is not much new development work for engineers. 2. Growth can be slow for some. 3. Your experience depends upon your manager. I had an awesome six years and horrible two years. 4. HR needs a total overhaul. 5. CIO runs the department as his own business, and there was a rumor that some senior directors do his house chores. 6. Random firing by the CIO.
