Pros

Working from home is great...

Cons

Just awful leadership and rushed training. Not sure what I am doing on these apps. Leadership response time is so slow that I am losing sales.

Pros

I am new to this industry, but I have literally grown in the short amount of time of being employed by HPone. The training for brokerage has been phenomenal. We have great support, structure, and the tools to be successful brokers. I know I will succeed and make money here....at the same time helping people!

Cons

San Antonio is a new site and it take little time to get the center up and going. It's been a learning process.

The job can at times be very stressful especially if your not meeting your numbers. Although a lot of the time there is no pressure.

Pros

Nothing good to say about this company.

Cons

I'll tell you about my experience which is 100% real! I was terminated from hpone one in July 2019 but I was not hostile about that now I manage a larger company and make over 100k a year so no hard feelings. Anyways I worked there for 6 months and first the training is just ridiculous whether you are experienced or not they make you suffer through this long boring training to teach things you may already know. I was Number 1 the top producing broker in that office and more I hit that entry bonus but they made some excuse to not pay me of course and because I was the best people started giving me dirty looks and spreading childish rumors, etc. I took it to the manager who did absolutely nothing. So I started to feel uncomfortable being there I asked to work from home but they kept making the time frame longer and making it seem impossible so I started to come to work less, I ended up getting sick and was out of it for a month they gave told me after a month to come in the next day at 830 or whatever and I came at 10 and the hr said she had to let me go because I seemed too sick to work and it would seem like favoritism if they didnt let me go LOL! So what happened to the employees that were bullying me? Yea you don't want to work there trust me!! There are companies out there that respect you and dont lie and tell you their flexible and full of culture, dont believe that nonsense hpone doesnt care about you.

RUN!!!!!

Pros

Get to work from home.

Cons

Where do I start? They rope you in with a solid starting base pay only to immediately change your pay after the busiest time of the year. They also structure their bonus payouts in a way that forces you to stay employed at least 3 months after AEP on a reduced salary in order to even get paid for all your hard work. Managers are emotionally abusive micromanagers and care about nothing but numbers. My physical and mental health has declined as a result of how I have been treated here and every time I bought up an issue they gaslight me and make the company seem like it's at 0 fault. Also, they tell you things in the morning to motivate you to sell such as "these people don't even know what they ate for breakfast this morning" as an example of their disgusting culture that has 0 regard for seniors best interest. If you want to emotionally and physically destroy yourself from stress, be underpaid, and work with a bunch of anti-social con artists then this is a phenomena employment choice!

Company in Decline?

Pros

For me it was proximity.

Cons

Managements managerial style. You used to be able to speak directly to your supervisor about time off. Now you have to go through several layers and even then you have to hound them to get an answer. Many agents lost during the last year.

Pros

Paid on time, great contemporaries to work with, the company pays for your additional states in the Health insurance position, equipment provided by the company.

Cons

Was originally hired on for Medicare but put into the Affordable Care Act plans division (no-one in my team was told before day one of training), poor training in respect to our actual job duties (ACA/IFP applications), delayed responses from supervisors in the chat, witnessed discrimination/differential treatment from one supervisor to her subordinate constantly, any suggestions you give to help improve the pain points agents deal with were seldom acknowledged, escalations were call avoided by supervisors, low morale in the department, several agents unbeknownst were making several errors on applications and thus misinforming customers daily (lack of training), ultimately the company didn't care if a customer made a false complaint they can still dismiss you without considering the ramifications or all the hard work you put in and suffered through. Bottom line: consider working somewhere else if you respect yourself enough to not be left high and dry. This seems to be the norm and company policies are usually against you to begin with.

NOT WORTH YOUR TIME NO MONEY

Pros

If $18 is enough for you an hour, try it. No pressure, they just need bodies. If you want to make a living, don't do it. I do not understand why more people is better then more sales.

Cons

You will not make the money they promised you. Last year we make almost 2 sales a day and made fine money. This year they hired many more people and changed the comp plan. They do not buy a proportionate number of leads to the amount of people they hire. Now we make maybe 2-3 sales a week . PEOPLE CAN NOT PAY THEIR BILLS. Plus the paychecks are not correct. You will have to reconcile what you sold and what you got paid for. They changed, mid-year, how they are paying everyone. With no notice and no one to make sure its correct. No one cares if the front line suffers because of their changes. Worse comp doc, less leads, wrong paychecks, means people are not paying their bills. The big shots in CT have no clue or do not care. They do company meetings about 401k. We cannot put money in a 401k, if your top producers cannot pay daily bills. Top departmental management try to manipulate you. You will not be shown respect with just getting the truth. They will try to manipulate you and try to make you feel like a bad person, not that it is a company problem.
