The grim reaper (AKA the COO) has single handedly taken a company with happy, loyal employees and made it onto a miserable place to be. The morale is at its lowest point in company history. The IT market is currently booming, but instead of trying to retain employees who have been loyal for years, the COO tells them how lucky they are that they have not been laid off. He regularly yells at employees in meetings. He reorgs the company over and over and over, while getting rid of several managers who were some of the best employees at the company. All the while, saying he is trying to instil culture in the company.

If you're an executive or admin, or have spouses that bring business to Healthesystems, this is the place for you.

Cons

Everyday individuals are expected to abide the value system; however, leaders in the organization turn a blind eye to individuals in vice president or director roles who do not "walk the talk." This is a disservice to employees who try to do the right thing. I've seen a lot of turnover in the organization, especially the HR department. Most of the people have left this department, leaving a huge gap in talent and leaders who have inadequate experience and customer service skills to make a difference.

Pros

Employees care about what they do and how they do it. Very collaborative team environment, pockets of outstanding individuals, appreciate work-life balance, friendly atmosphere.

Cons

Some of the Directors and VPs were unable to trust in the work of their teams. Some micro-managing and unending questions of your word and your work made it challenging to perform on a daily basis as you were worked in fear that you would have to justify each and every change, decision, statement along the way. Lots of company-wide initiatives were halted as leadership could not get on the same page.
