Where do I start: - Terrible scheduling throughout the company - You are trained to be an annoyance to customers, bugging them to buy “add ons” or being told to literally loom over them - Their internal policies are ridiculous, one for example is that if a person is in the store 5 minutes until close, you can’t even warn them. They could stay an hour or more after closing time and you are told to stay and give them a “Hibbett High-Five” which means running your butt off for the customer - Hibbett does not care one but about holidays. Labor Day? Working without any extra pay. 4th of July? Same thing. New Years? Forget about it... let’s not even mention Black Friday..... - The overall pay is not great at all, you could work at a gas station and start at more than I made after over two years and being in management - The worst of all, which was my situation exactly, is that your store could close at any moment and you will not be notified AT ALL. One day a DSM will walk in and say “Hey, you’re store is closing, your last day is in two days”. No warning and no compensation or severance for ANY employees.
