      Toxic Culture - Approach Carefully

      Pros

      Above average market rate salary (but mediocre benefits) if you negotiate your offer carefully. Some truly talented people on the right teams. Exposure to exciting technology from Microsoft.

      Cons

      Company is incredibly political, and the culture is toxic. Lots of finger pointing and playing the blame game. Senior leadership and middle management loves pointing fingers and backstabbing. Poor teamwork culture due to extremely siloed organization. Not only does this create a difficult working environment, customers ultimately suffer. Long hours wading through politics, ultimately creating poor work/life balance.

      Flexible working hours, company Xmas dinner at some international destination

      Cons

      Racial discrimination, huge salary differences between Japanese onsite staff and local employees, internal politics, no HR policies for skill enhancement, manangement do not trust in non Japanese staff hence you will always work under a Japanese and can not grow higher than that position.
