Great medical facility, great peers, some highest level management people are real losers.

Pros

Would highly reccomend this medical facility to anyone needing healthcare. Many, many really great employees to work with there. Staff always goes out of their way to make patients and visitors welcome. Cafeteria food quality and variety is outstanding - although a bit pricey.

Cons

Some high level management are incapable of "walking the talk" when it comes to the way they treat their employees. There is often a sense of mistrust in dealing with them.

Pros

In-house childcare; Hoag Memorial Hospital's reputation.

Cons

You will have no life. I couldn't even take time off to see a doctor within the hospital. During orientation you are told that you are permitted no more than three absences in any 4 month period. Beyond that, you face disciplinary action, including possible termination. The presenter at orientation concluded the talk regarding Hoag's attendance policy by telling us to "stay healthy".

The furlow/AR days are becoming excessive and the current benefits package leaves much to be desired.
