Pros

Seriously some of the best people I’ve ever met. Management goes out of their way to help their employees. Every day is unique and challenging but I wouldn’t change it for the world. We work really hard but we also have a lot of fun.

Cons

None that I know of.

Pros

Co-workers were easy to get along with. No shortage of company events. Many offices. Great working hours for a construction company.

Cons

Higher-ups are mostly from Alabama and don't care to have a conversation with you if you're from somewhere else. Slightly below average pay compare to other companies. Way too much "training." Weak estimating teams with not enough support.

Pros

Excellent leadership. Room for personal growth. Strong feeling of camaraderie and family atmosphere. Good feedback from superiors. Everyone holds themselves accountable. Good bi-weekly training sessions on a wide variety of topics. "Open-door policy" is unspoken and exists at all levels of the company. Company has a charitable trust and is excited to work with employees on charities they are passionate about. Excellent new-employee training. Company invests in it's employees.

Cons

Construction industry careers require significant dedication of time, Hoar is part of this industry. However, Hoar offers many benefits and incentives to help maintain a work-life balance in a difficult industry. Sufficient communication between departments is occasionally an issue.
