Pros

It is some what of a pay check weekly. Direct deposit is done quickly. Nothing more. Not 20 words worth!

Cons

Pay is a lie, hours promised is a lie, training is a joke! Company ethics lack. No one is back round screened. You may work with a felon! Everything that could be wrong with a job... They have achieved.

Leadership & Cultural Crisis

Pros

Family-owned - While there is external investment, it is minimal and allows the company to avoid some of the pressures that a public company faces.

Cons

The company is in a crisis. After years of successful growth, it is attempting to pivot strategies to modernize its product, but in doing so is ignoring what made it successful - a hard working family environment. Its is becoming very political and filled with cutthroat tactics due to massive leadership changes focused on innovation at any cost. Employees are now viewed as disposable resources as opposed to long term investments. Change was needed due to the stagnation of many business units, but the plan seems to be to hire new layers of costly senior leaders from unrelated industries. These leaders seem to be choosing to bring in new teams of people they have worked with in the past to accelerate the change rather then attempt to work with the existing teams, leading to departmental bloat and redundancies at best and knee-jerk layoffs at worst.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. These last few weeks have undoubtedly been among the toughest we’ve seen for our country, our company, and for the travel industry due to the significant and extraordinary impact brought by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This unprecedented situation has forced our company, along with many others, to make difficult decisions. Because you’ve listed yourself as a current employee, we encourage you to reach out to your leader or HR partner directly to talk more about your concerns.

Pros

Weekly pay Ok Benefits Cafeteria & Gym onsite

Cons

The company's reorganization has left many employees laid off or terminated on random days of the week. While on the outside, it appears the company is growing, the growth comes at the consequence of some employees who have been with the company for several years. The newer senior leadership doesn't seem interested in offering opportunities for current staff members to advance. Instead, several external candidates have been brought in with communication to current staff regarding these positions. It feels like a slap in the face to current team members because it feels as if senior leadership doesn't feel like those who are currently here are worth interviewing for these positions. Additionally, the company isn't flexible. Remote work isn't an option for most team members because while the company maintains they are forward thinking, their current policies do not reflect that. The pay is far below industry standard and not competitive. HICV will not be able to retain talent with the offers extended for the work required. Don't waste your time here and seek employment with a company that truly values their employees.
