Pros

You get to learn customer service in a fast paced environment.

Cons

Working with People with limited skill sets both management and other staff as high turnover. Demanding bosses. Customers can be difficult to deal with at times.

Pros

I loved when the guest would come downstairs and just stand at the front desk and just have a general conversation with me sometimes because they couldn't sleep or they just wanted more information about the hotel. And they would let my manager know that I was a very pleasant individual. Compliments like that go a long way.

Cons

The benefits were not the best overall, but were durable and manageable. Well it was very comforting knowing that if I went to visit out of town I would be able to get a discount on lodging, Their time-off policies were fair but they would request time off in advance understandable, so. Because coverage had to be made for those days, but sometimes can't always happen. But, not bad.

Pros

I loved my job, the guest's, my staff. I was recognized for moving from breakfast attendant to AGM in a year and a half. The owners were ok to work with. The environment was good.

Cons

Ownership doesn't appreciate the hard work, dedication, and commitment from employees. Employee incentives were changed to make it almost impossible to achieve. training is at a minimum for anyone who wants to better their knowledge. Management is so desperate for attention from the owner she's willing to destroy anybody's career to get it and her work ethic is horrible. It's very irritating working with a know it all that knows nothing. I have never had a boss ask me "Are you working? Could you not work so hard, you're making me feel bad because I'm not working" I absolutely love that I gave that hotel everything and I was let go, when asked on what terms.... There wasn't an answer.
