Pros

Hotel Discounts and that is about it. This is a horrible company to work for. You have to be super desperate, like I was, to work for a place like this. You do get to meet some amzing people from all over the world.

Cons

Pay. Management. Hours. Everything. Aside from the few good guest, humans who frequent these hotels are rude and sometimes evil. I have had guy ask me for sexual favors, women screaming at me, an teenagers playing pranks. Management is no better. They act as if we, the employees, don't matter.

Pros

Very nice hotel with ownership that actually knows how to run a hotel. This makes life on the employees easier, thus getting more out of the employees. Housekeeping actually cleans the rooms well. I was never scared about checking in a guest to a dirty room (other hotels yes, but NOT here). They had/have central reservations (thank the stars), the last thing a hotel employee wants is to answer 20 questions about reservations with 14 guests staring at you that are ready to check in. Meanwhile the guests are wondering why you are not transferring the call. VERY few hotels get this. Most are too cheap for central reservations and they lose sales because of it. So because they have central reservations the guest experience is much more pleasing and it pays for itself. Now why do other hotels not do this? It's because they do not know how to run a hotel and they are cheap. Have no fear at the Holiday Inn however they have you covered.

Cons

It's a hotel, they all have issues, there is just nothing worth mentioning here. All minor stuff that should not effect your employment.

Pros

The training was great in Front Desk area. Overall, staff is very friendly and fun to be around. Yes, it's WV, but this location is pretty busy due to business travelers and university events.

Cons

Its a Holiday Inn Express, and has to abide by strict standards to keep the name. But, the location is owned by a regional LLC that owns about 10-12 other hotels (different brands too). Some of their hotels are in small, depressed, and poor towns. So, cost of living is much lower. However, Morgantown, WV did did not get hit by the housing bubble and unemployment has stayed low. Bottom line, the owners are choosing to be cheap. It's really stupid of them, because a lot of great employees have resigned for that reason alone.
