Great Introduction intro the healthcare Industry
Pros
Working at Home Instead was a great experience for me. I learned vital skills needed to thrive in the healthcare industry. My director gave me the free range to do what worked best for me. The office was small, but it was perfect for me as an intro into healthcare. Some of the leaders made me feel very welcomed and that I was appreciated. Going in, I knew that I would not be there long. but during the time I spent there, it was great exposure.
Cons
There was a lot of miscommunication. Higher leadership was reactive to situations instead of proactive, and a lot of protocols that should've been in place were in fact not established. The work life balance was extremely poor. I was supporting the on call staff even when I was not assigned to be on call. The culture is also old school, and my coworkers were all doublee my age and used to their habits. Me being a younger professional, was not accustomed to their styles. So there was a lot of attitude and negativity. Some were extremely complacent.
