Pros

Free parking, decent canteen, and that's about it.

Cons

Worst place I've worked, 40 hour contract says it all. They will take take take but no giving, stay away.

Pros

HomeServe has a great caring culture amongst the people on the ground and within back office teams. The product idea is fundamentally a good one, though consumers are changing what they want and what they value.

Cons

The business thrived with a certain way of doing things for a while. Change is required, but its not being done well at all - and hasn't for some time. Programmes are all running late, poor planning, too little thinking things through, inadequate resources and random redundancies/ cuts. Service remains mixed, despite much huff and puff.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review and for your kind words about the culture at HomeServe, which is something I definitely agree with. I’d also hope you recognise HomeServe has an open and transparent culture, one which encourages feedback and two-way conversation. To this point, your feedback would have been useful with some context and it also would have been nice to have had the opportunity to discuss this with you before you left. I'm with you that change is required and we are making some pretty critical changes to our systems, for example, to move us forward. We'll have to agree to disagree about the implementation of these changes however. I’m sorry that you decided to leave, but again as you point out, change is often required and it sounds as though you had come to the end of your time with us. Very best wishes for the future.

Hi Thanks for sharing your insight with us. I would genuinely welcome the opportunity to speak and discuss your concerns in more detail because I really want to hear about how you feel we are treating our People unfairly. My own view is that fairness is fundamental to who we are, it is at the heart of our strategy and our People promises. Sometimes though – and let’s be honest about this – a commitment to fairness requires a bit of self-sacrifice. It means we have to do that little bit more, or that little bit less, to make things fair for all People. In a business our size, that means that there will be individuals who feel that their personal needs are not 100% met. Unfortunately, that’s what happens when you make things fair. I am always available for a chat and you can schedule this easy enough; alternatively, Greg, our CMO, encourages everyone to have a one-to-one with him – if you haven’t done that yet, I would really recommend it. Let us know what works for you. Justin Barrett
