Pros

- One of the first things I noticed when I joined HomeServe was how friendly the culture is. Everyone smiles and says hi, even if you don't know each other (I worked at an organisation where this definitely didn't happen!) so this was a lovely welcome and confirmation that I was in the right place. - The support that I have had from Senior Managers around the business has been incredible. It's amazing how accessible everyone is to you and how open the Senior Leaders are about making time for you. I often have a 121 with Greg, our CMO and I can't tell you another company that I have been a part of where I would have dreamed of doing this - in fact, it wouldn't have even been an option. - The engagement is at a fantastic level. We are always taking part in activities and there are constantly things coming up to keep us engaged and updated. - We have regular updates from the Senior Leaders and it really helps you to feel invested and a part of HomeServe. - You are encouraged to challenge current processes and the way that we do things which is great because it means that we are constantly improving and making things more efficient. - Open and honest conversations are also encouraged which is great - and I genuinely do this, especially with my Team and the Senior Leaders in my Team.

Cons

- Certain people just don't seem open to change/ a new way or working but I do believe that this is changing ...other than that, I genuinely love working at HomeServe and can't imagine myself being anywhere else for a long time!

Pros

Homeserve is literally like one big family, it is a really good place to work. The CEO and other Chief Officiers like to spend time and get to know each person.

Cons

I was bullied by my then line manager, whom was hired as a rash decision (he was the only one to turn up to the interview). It was an awful time, being left out of meetings, being demeaned to others behind my back. When you raise an issue management really do stick with management and don't listen, so there was no hope really even after working your way up the ladder after working there for 7+ years. You're thrown away like a piece of rubbish. Oh and that manager that made my life hell and whom spent more time working on getting me out, was sacked for not being good enough at his job. Didn't help me though too little too late! I've gone through counselling all because they hired anybody just to quickly fill a position! Beware if this happens to you!

I'm sorry to hear that you had such a difficult time working with us towards the end of your seven years. We have all worked for managers who have not been ideal or even worse not suited to us as individuals. I don't agree with your comment about management always sticking together which seems to be proven by your observation that eventually your manager was exited from the business. We have almost three thousand People now so every manager will not be terrific but I do think it is accurate that there are far more good ones than bad. My door (if I had one) is always open. I wish you had come directly to me with your concerns. I hope you find more happiness in your next role. Best of luck. Cheers, Greg
