Pros

HomeServe had some trouble in the past but instead of denying the issues they rebuilt the company better than ever. The People (staff) are the business now and they are fully empowered to look after the Customers. It is now a very special place to work where everyone understands the long term strategy and their part in it.

Cons

There are no downsides other than it is difficult to wait for all the systems development to finish.

Pros

HomeServe has a strategy which really means something and everyone feels engaged with. Senior managers do what they say they will, listen to employess and really put Customers first

Cons

Not all areas of the Company feel as engaged as the frontline Call Centre and Marketing teams

Pros

I've been an employee at HomeServe for a number of years now and have seen both highs and lows but have always enjoyed my time working for this business. Now more than any other time we are fully focused on putting the customer at the heart of everything we do. We run an initiative called Customer First where anyone in the business can put forward a case to help a vulnerable customer or change a process that would make our customers lives easier when dealing with us. It is the finest initiative I have seen introduced in my time and empowers all of our People to make positive change. In addition there are lots of opportunities for development and progression at all levels. The work is challenging but never dull and I get to work with some really great people.

Cons

We have some legacy systems and processes that need improving but nothing that can't be solved by our current management team
