Pros

In the time I have been with HomeServe there have been many changes, the majority of which have been improvements. The SMT believe in transparency and practice what they preach. People feel free to express opinions and know they will be listened to. HomeServe is focused on doing the right thing for both it's customers and staff, rectifying the wrongs which have happened in the past. It feels like a family working for HomeServe.

Cons

The contractual working hours are 40hrs per week. This is very unusual and think that it would be great if it could be reduced to an industry standard of 35.7 hpw. The contract does not pay sick pay for the first 12 months of the contract.

Pros

HomeServe recognise that their People are the driving force behind their success. They foster a culture where their People are encouraged to have an opinion and make a real difference. This really makes me personally feel valued and appreciated.

Cons

We need to keep the momentum going which can be hard, with the right people it'll happen.

Pros

Employee engagement and people values are high on the list of priorities at HomeServe. A lot of effort is put in to ensuring that employees are satisfied with their roles and that everyone, no matter where they are in the business, has a voice.

Cons

Too much is trying to be achieved with too little staff. There are sometimes too many cooks in one department when resource is needed elsewhere.
