Double standards

Pros

Development is given if you are close to management. Promote from within. Some brilliant people there… few and far between.

Cons

When people are promoted no support is given leaving incompetent first level supervisors. Senior management can’t implement something as easy as a new phone system. Promotions given to those who play the game. Relatively low pay for the job compared to other companies. Double standards from management on various topics. Rumours of people getting fired unjustified constantly. Very high attrition.

Pros

Paid on time, literally it

Cons

So the way promoting works is who ever is the managers pet at the time gets the job, so you end up with incompetent people at the top! Even heard the manager of the south west at the time threaten to manage engineers out the company as they wouldn’t bend to his will
