Good jumping off point to learn banquet service

Pros

Every shift is a bay cruise, coworkers and clients can be really nice, not too difficult of a learning curve, mostly flexible schedule, company outing 2x/year

Cons

Management is capricious, Head Chefs are unhelpful and either absent or abusive when asked questions, complaints get ignored, high chance of sea sickness, only management is classified as full-time, high staff turnover

Pros

Good pay for hours actually worked. Staff open bar parties every month. Management is amazing Staff is friendly

Cons

Sometimes there’s a bunch of miscommunication between front of house and management. Not too many hours as there’s a bunch of employees (when fully staffed )

Pros

Being on the water is always nice as the views never get old, my latest crop of co workers I like working with. Depending on the event lunch time presents some great opportunities to eat some good food each shift.

Cons

- Average to below average management - poor communications or no communication that can leave you irritated/frustrated. - no structure to speak of - no consistency
