Pros

If you approach your IT profession as an athletic event, Hudl is the perfect company. As a sports technology & media company, you get the best of both worlds. In the short time I've been here, I've learned so much about how video streaming technology works and all the components that make it happen. In addition, the service that Hudl provides to millions of high school students, college students, and much more makes an impact on many lives. Pros: Amazing technology that is always being innovated Freedom to try out new techniques and strategies Innovation days where you can focus on testing out and building software outside of normal sprint work Very team and goal oriented Super nice co-workers Unlimited PTO 3 year laptop refresh policy 5 year sabbatical vacation 2 weeks of the year off (1 in July and 1 in December)

Cons

Many different teams/squads so it's hard to have visibility on what other teams are working on or developing

Business Outlook

Pros

Hudl employees get great benefits and amazing flexibility. One of Hudl's values is "win together" - employees are encouraged to bring their full selves to work and building harmony between work and life outside of work is emphasized, with both time (flexible/unlimited time off, realistic work schedules, frequent meeting-free, company-wide "time out days", etc) and support from leaders. Hudl is continuing to grow, building new products, and attracting new talent.

Cons

Continual growth can present some growing pains, specifically with communication and alignment on approach to strategic priorities. There's some work to do in growing the racial, ethnic, and gender diversity of employees.
