Pros

Great Benefits, helpful peers. You get to keep your points while you travel. You will learn a lot, mostly because no one else will know the answer.

Cons

Short sighted. Upper management has no understanding of how to run a team. Pay is average.

Pros

Good vacation policy. Pay is acceptable for position. Culture is good only if you are in Chicago

Cons

Company is growing and shows a lot of potential growth however, need to start focusing on the virtual world of associates. This changes communication, development, training and business processes. Company is behind the times here. Better management and communication with experienced hires. These hires many times are grouped with analyst and associates rather than higher level roles. High Turnover rate. Most stay about 1-2 years and leave. Hiring too many "out of college" analyst, balance this with mid to more senior in Project Management and industry and consulting experience. Because those who have been in the field for very long time are doing analyst type work or being directed by analyst who is maybe 2-5 years in field with no management experience or large scale project experience. Very degrading. I am not doing what I thought I was hired for. Absolutely no work/life balance. Historically (prior jobs) I have traveled when needed (project kick off, analysis phase, testing, go-live) and everything in between is virtual or as needed. However, it seems travel is every week Mon-Thur. Many times no client facing. Better use of time and money can be spent elsewhere.

Pros

Decent pay. Good benefits. Good time off policy. A few great coworkers.

Cons

Sinking ship. No work life balance or understanding that families have needs. I don't buy the "that's consulting" excuse because I saw a ton of opportunity to be more effective while more responsive to employees personal needs. Unless you're in the "in" crowd or willing to work obscene hours, don't count on upward mobility. Thinking outside the corporate culture is a no-no. No understanding of what it is like to be a hospital employee and love in a hospital culture by low level employees (the ones on the ground). Lot of recent outside hires. Crazy recent turnover. Promises made at hiring that are not carried out. Experience prior does not matter once you hit the ground. Your experience at Huron totally depends on the luck of the draw with your manager/director/sr. Director.
