Pros

Great benefits, positive work environment for the most part, flexible hours (depends on department/position)

Cons

Annual raises are pretty disappointing, you can work harder compared to someone who does significantly less and expect the same percentage increase, every year they been moving the annual raises back. No quarterly bonus. Terrible parking, if you come later than 7am your gonna expect to walk far. Don’t expect to make a decent amount more money for taking on more responsibility.

Pros

This company doesn't have any pros.

Cons

Avoid this company if possible. This company is filled with juvenile project managers, who have no experience in efficiently handing projects. They over-promise the customer, and the engineers are DEMANDED to work for 80-100 hrs a week to meet the deadline as promised by the PMs. The engineers are always blamed for not meeting deadlines, while the managers enjoy annual performance bonuses. This company also doesn't have any performance review system, so until you don't ask for a raise, you won't get it. The work culture is pretty abrasive and hostile. Engineers often get yelled at for not working enough.

This is my story at IPG

Pros

Some of the pros are cost of living increase(considered raise) and bonus.

Cons

I worked for IPG for over 20 years and did see many changes. When the company was just starting (2001) they told the few of us that we left after two layoffs that we would be rewarded for our efforts sometime in the future. I worked many weekends in the early days to get my design work out to the fabricators. The extra effort that I provided earned me the same or less cost of living (considered raise) for some years. It seems that the bigger the company got the less the employees received. We used to have a bowling league, there was a Christmas party and a gift card at Thanksgiving. That's all gone. I stayed there for so long because I loved the work and the people I worked with. As far as the managers go that depends on the department that you were in some are good and some not so good. In closing I would say that IPG should value there employees more than they do.
