Unethical, among other things.

Pros

I wish I could think of 5 positive words on IQ Fiber.

Cons

IQ fiber is an unethical company. During my time there I was asked to do several basicly illegal things, they are very carefree with customer data. (Employees carrying customer credit card numbers written down due to malfunctioning POS applications). The churn rate here is insane, most people only work here a year or less. Departments do not speak to one another until there is a customer threatening to sue them. (Google IQ Fiber lawsuits). If you work here you will be reamed out by angry residents due to their careless construction and contractors on a regular bases no matter your role, trust me they find you when you destroy their property. Lots of promises of equity however they churn people so hard nobody will be vested and officers will take all the $$$. I would not recommend working here as a female, there is some sexisim for sure witnessed first hand. I never had a real 1:1 at this company, between the 5 bosses I had in three years not one gave real feedback. They were all just concerned about not being fired, most of the company is just trying to save their own rear. S rolls down hill hard at IQ Fiber. I wouldn't worry about a promotion, most office hires are friends of the officers of the company who fail 75% of the time. I have never seen a company who has such bad hiring instincts. I could write 10 pages on the problems of IQ fiber but they have wasted enough of my time.

Pros

Plenty of money if you like mandatory overtime.

Cons

Supervisors obviously target employees that go against them and call them out for their ineptitude and create an environment that no one wishes to persist in. Communication across departments is abysmal which usually involves customers becoming upset and/or remaining without service that they pay for, mainly between customer support and dispatch. If you read other reviews, you will see that techs are forced to push "quantity over quality" which results in sloppy installs and bad service in homes and usually results in techs having to come back out wasting money to which the company is already massively in debt. To speak about the targeting of employees, those that speak up against supervisors are harassed by said supervisors and put on performance improvement plans so that they have a paper trail for HR to indicate that they are not behaving the way they prefer. Our best employee who was the most knowledgeable on the team who was a Tier 2 was put on said PIP for "call handling times being too short", among other reasons which essentially is that he's too good at his job. This employee was then subsequently fired during a week that the entire team was forced to provide mandatory 2 hours of OT every shift for "data validation" and "training" as we are migrating to a new system. Neither the "data validation" nor "training" occurred and this was very obviously a ruse for coverage as we fired our best employee because he spoke up about the issues going on in the company. This was after a period of time where multiple employees have already quit due to their circumstances of also being targeted by supervisors for speaking out or find a better opportunity to which we were already short staffed. The tier 2 team has been reduced to almost nothing and the rest of the customer service is on the way out the door to which I will be joining them the moment an opportunity becomes available. Now that we are short staffed to the point where Service Level Agreement is constantly tanking, there have been multiple days where they have taken away our breaks because they cannot stay staffed properly and can't seem hire anyone. On top of that, supervisors do not help with calls at all and armchair coach from the sidelines and demand that we do better. There have also been multiple instances where customers request a call from supervisors to which they pass these customers along to team leads so that they do not have to deal with them. STAY FAR AWAY!!!

We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. We’re sorry this was your experience and understand how frustrating it can feel when expectations and support don’t align. We do take feedback seriously and review concerns about leadership, communication, workload, and employee treatment on an ongoing basis. Our intent has always been to foster a respectful, professional environment where employees can raise concerns without fear of retaliation. Performance improvement plans, staffing decisions, and operational changes are never taken lightly and are made based on documented performance expectations and business needs, not personal disagreement. That said, we recognize that periods of growth, system migrations, and staffing challenges can create strain across teams, and we acknowledge that communication and support must continually improve — particularly during times of change. Leadership is actively working on strengthening cross-department collaboration, service quality standards, and supervisor engagement with frontline teams. We are committed to learning from feedback, improving our processes, and creating a workplace where employees feel supported, heard, and set up for success. We wish you the best in your future endeavors and thank you for sharing your perspective.
