Pros

Work-life balance, free parking, free snacks

Cons

Top leadership can't make decisions or trust their employees to be a part of solutions. No employee empowerment or accountability. Culture is one that's punitive, backstabbing, political and immature. Beware, don't bring an idea forward because you will be called out by the CEO and yelled at for it being a bad idea. He belittles people in public and in front of everyone.

Pros

some of the people are cool. The clients are very salt of the earth.

Cons

The vast majority of the team are all buddies that go way back. If you're not one of the "golf bros" you're going to have to work 3x harder to make up for the golf bros not having to work at all. Leadership hands out deals and accounts to their friends to make money on, even if it means taking it from someone else. They cuss at people in pipeline calls and lead through intimidation. There is NO motivation to do anything but check-boxes to stay out of the line of fire.

Ouch. This review really stings. We have been working hard to build a high-performance culture balanced with care for the individual. The standards of performance and accountability have been changing at the organization, with reps having quotas for the first time in the past couple of years. This means that there are people not used to being held accountable for the success of the team. We have also added different perks and benefits to provide support to the employees and their families. As for “buddies,” referrals are an important part of a hiring strategy at many companies, including ours, but that doesn’t mean that we intend to create a clique. If there are truly folks struggling with substances or other challenges, we hope that they are aware of the available benefits and resources we provide and urge them to reach out to the HR team for assistance. We need to support each other through challenges, not use them as one-line zingers. Being at an organization for awhile and then watching it change in ways that don’t suit you, can be hard. If the environment doesn’t feel good to you, we urge you to contact the HR team or the CEO directly to discuss your concerns. And if that doesn’t help, it may be time to find another role – either internally or externally. Life is too short to be unhappy in a culture that isn’t a fit and resort to a review online. We would prefer to hear from you directly, so that we can ask follow up questions, but if you don’t feel comfortable reaching out to anyone on the team, the next company Pulse survey is coming out soon.

Pros

As of this writing I’ve worked at ImageTrend for a little over 5 months and I’m very happy with my decision to work here. The company is about 21 years old and they have several competitive medical software products with their flagship product being documentation for paramedics- so you work on software that matters and it helps make one’s job more rewarding. The company is about 185 people and growing at the perfect pace, not too fast but fast enough to make it a great place to be. The work culture here is very good. I’ve observed minimal politics and people work well across departments. For the most part people work collaboratively to ensure that customer driven goals are met on time. The developers and QA get along great and for the most part I would consider it a very healthy corporate culture. Upper level management doesn’t expect you to work unrealistic hours and a work/life balance is promoted. They genuinely want people to learn and grow their skills. They have a very large development & QA team and they are a very technology focused company. They have a ton of great benefits including affordable (and very high quality) onsite day care, company cabins, company picnics and pizza nights, free beer on tap after 3, and a very competitive benefit package for their employees. The executive team is also great and the owner, Mike, is very involved and an extremely fair and generous person. He cares for the employees that work here and his expectations are reasonable and in line with someone that’s built up this successful of a company. The VPs are all very good too and responsive to concerns if they come up. I’ve been told that they have never had downsizing or layoff here and that is unprecedented in this day and age. There are some negative reviews below but I’m quite surprised by them and I’ve not experienced anything out of the ordinary in my time here. Instead, I’ve experience a positive environment and willingness to make things right. There are also a fair number of long time employees here that have nothing but positive things to say.

Cons

The only downside I can see is that it's 25 miles south of MPLS and not an easy commute for people that live a long ways away.
