Learning opportunity but no growth opportunity

Pros

Good business infrastructure and overall good business practices based upon looking at other companies I have work for and with.

Cons

Limiting growth opportunity since company has not been successful in growing even with acquisitions. Weak product development and product introduction to the market.

Some aspects good and others bad

Pros

Very good amount of vacation days Interesting mix of people from different backgrounds Internation company Business trips to the HQ office

Cons

Some people are totally not competent at what they do Most people do not take responsibility which leads to a stagnant atmosphere and nothing is ever done People scared of losing their jobs which leads to paranoia among employees Upper management not that open minded Lots of politics and ass-kissing Long and useless meetings

Pros

This is a large company with many of the perks that you would expect to find at a company of this size. It has a very relaxed pace and there is very little pressure to perform.

Cons

This is a old-school company that is attempting to change their core business and having a lot of growing pains. I found most of the employees I dealt with unqualified for their positions and threatened by any new changes. Additionally, the existing processes in place don't support the change that management is attempting and add unnecessary obstacles. A very frustrating and stressful place for a newcomer.
