Great employees, hideous top management

Pros

As the title says - employees are the biggest value of this company. Young, passionate, driven intellectuals from across the globe. Team spirit is powerful on all non-managerial levels.

Cons

People who are leading the company, - founders and their buddies form top management. No need for qualifications, you just need to be from the family or friend-of-a-friend to get to the top. And a guy, no women allowed on highest managerial roles. Very immature attitude towards business, no decision making process, no budgeting or proper salary distribution. They are paying loyal employees the lowest they can get by with, with no bonus structure or proper awarding/recognition system. Micromanagement is a severe issue, as owners tend to meddle in time attendance of the employees, require from you openly to work overtime (without paying extra hours), counting every cup of tea/coffe you drink ''on company cost''. And the fact that founder's father is constantly walking around HQ, badgering employees on how to do their job, and how to save a little more money on the heating/cooling is just not acceptable. All in all, current climate in the company is worst I've seen so far and lot of seniors are leaving the company. Things got a lot worse during years and from what it looks like, they are not turning for the better.

We are very well aware of the fact that employees are the most significant value of our company and that your contribution is a substantial factor in the global success of Infobip. For that reason, your feedback is precious to us, and it is unfortunate to hear how you feel. Being genuinely committed to continuous improvement in our workplace, delivering a year-round education to the leaders inside the company, empowering them to create an environment that promotes fairness and equality, we are very sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience. If you don't mind discussing it further with the Head of People Operations at your earliest convenience, it would be much appreciated. We look forward to speaking with you and working towards making your workplace a worth place.

Pros

Other than some great colleagues and free trip to croatia, nothing else

Cons

- Worst middle management. They will hire some croatians without experience / fresh graduate and promote them to manager positions to other regions because they believe no one can do anything without their "leadership". They do not focus and think on solving 1 problem. Meetings for 2 - 3 weeks daily just to solve something simple that can be done in a day. This is to show others "notice me, im doing my work". - Unstructured payraise /bonus system Payscale is unorganised throughout the company. There is no reward system. If u want better pay, u need to have better relationship with all the higher management, regardless of ur achievement. (Even better if u have the same skin colour as them). - No proper KPI or goals to achieve. Management does not know how to set realistic target. There is no limit except the sky... treating employee as lab rats by testing all sorts of goals, SOP, restructuring, only to revert in the end. Imagine sales team having the target of helping HR to hire newbies. - Yearly management changes Politic play is very strong here. If u win, u stay. Hence, yearly changes in management. Making people feel so insecure of their job. If u want to keep ur job, best if u have good relationship with your manager, no matter how inexperienced and incapable they are - High turnover rate Over 1/4 of the employee in office left in a year. They do not care if u stay / leave as you are just another number in their statistics. They will never try to retain u as they can always hire someone from hq and bring them to local. - Waste of money. Most of the employee bonus goes to waste, due to certain people unecessary flights, events, or even building. Thats right, this company build unecessary building literally from the ground up, buying the lands and such. And they will tell u "u have done a good job, we have a new building this year. Work harder, and we will have 2 new building next year.keep it up".
