      Pros

      if you finish early onsite you get the rest of the day off. fairly flexable schedule, great pay. always something different getting to travel to various sites in different areas

      Cons

      do not get paid if you finish early, can go without work for 4months which means no paycheck for that time. if a site cancels you lose a whole day of pay. absolutely no communication from management to the field reviewers regarding down time, but yet they expect you to work like a dog when it does become available driving 700miles in a week.

      Pros

      RN review consultants work 95-100% of the time from home. The pay is close to what I can make as an RN working in a health care facility doing hands-on nursing.

      Cons

      Intermittent down time between projects means no paycheck, or very small paycheck, during that time. Project schedules change every year, so it is difficult to plan ahead or to know in advance when the busy times vs the down times will be. During down time there is no communication with the consultants re: when the next project will be starting. As a result, reviewers are forced to either sit around and wait for work with no information to go on, or to take a contingent or temporary job with a different employer until our work at Inovalon resumes.

      Abusive management, low salaries are definite detriments to this place of employment.
