Pros

Great Benefits, Met a lot of good people along the way. Went from working in office to being WFH.

Cons

The company as a whole use to be very diverse and inclusive. There were way more people of color in senior level positions but now there’s probably a handful. Sad to say things are becoming more white washed. This means there’s a lack of representation for people of color now. Chaotic Management Style and lack of transparency. Agents get switched to different managers and teams at least once a year. You’re required to participate in shift bids twice a year. Very few opportunities for advancement within CARE (customer service department ). Hardly any opportunity to get out of the CARE department. We get a new director every year. When a new director starts they tend to make sporadic/ unnecessary changes. This causes agent burnout and kills the overall morale. Around the one year mark the director mysteriously resigns and a new person comes in and does it all over again. Work conditions at this time are very stressful and I worry about my mental health.

Pros

Gig work does not compensate for gas, automobile wear and tear (depreciation), guaranteed minimum wage per job, compensation if customer does not tip which is prevalent in this economy. They are now trying to bundle 3 customers into batches and make you reach unrealistic targets. Customers are not informed that your gas isn't covered or that you do not even make minimum wage and that they want the customer to compensate you for a living wage on top of customers already paying an extra 20% upcharge for the convenience of someone else doing their shopping and deliveries. Customers will report groceries as not delivered to get free groceries so you are forced to take pictures at every door you deliver to with a time and address stamp. Instacart does not allow you to rate customers (that can be rude or lie)

Cons

Recognize that shoppers are just trying to make a living in this economy and many are disabled or elderly . Allow us to rate customers to report the abusive ungrateful ones. Recognize the real value of the world in gas & automobile depreciation. Make it an actual living wage and quit making the customer responsible for that burden. This economy is terrible

Pros

Flexibility Unlimited PTO Multitude of projects and initiatives Female leadership Facilitating change in grocer space

Cons

Too many pivots midstream and ever-changing priorities. Seemingly no structure or little structure per different ORGS.
