Trouble adapting to modern times

Pros

There's some great people here. Strong benefits, PTO, etc. Solid job to support your family.

Cons

It is rather top-down, upper management is resistent to modernization. It at times feels akin to an old boy's club, but not everyone is "in" the club. There's a focus on boosting revenue at all cost. Talking of money, the salaries are very disparate. I read somewhere the CEO gets paid over $600,000 per year, the other exec aren't disclosed, but I gather it's up there too.

Pros

Employees are dedicated and wonderful people.

Cons

Upper management gets little input to CEO who thinks he knows it all. Sweeping initiatives with very little meaningful training and support. Ineffective use of man hours on administrative tasks means highly paid technical professionals assigned to customer service rolls. All while still being expected to do their assigned work. Look out, in five years most of the technical staff is retiring and there is no push to fill the gaps and get people up to speed.
