Thank you for your comments, especially on promoting from within. We do promote from within, there are dozens of examples in 2017 throughout the company. However apparently we are not doing a good job of sharing that news and I appreciate you pointing this out.

Pros

You get some terrible free food and some snacks now and then. You also get front row seat to senior officials being catty with each other and constantly one upping each other. At the Director - SVP level, most people are highly insecure and always bad mouthing each other and it is very amusing. You will learn to reach Olympian level at the assigning blame to somebody else

Cons

Run away as fast as you can unless you are starving to death. Rumor mill runs on steroids here so keep you head down. Accountants are leaving in hoards but the Chief turns a blind eye to it and keeps her eyes solidly fixed on her own bonus check
