Pros

Nice people, good PTO, Starbucks coffee, making good strides in resident satisfaction.

Cons

No work-life balance. The office culture is a pressure cooker. The underlying message is to stay late all the time. Office is overcrowded with cubicles in every viable space. Zero privacy Churning all day, very long days, is pushing people to work ineffectively and burn out quickly. If people last over year, they are zombies. It shows in every possible way.

Thank you for your comments. While we do work hard at the corporate office to serve our residents and support our associates in the field, our culture also offers a balance with generous PTO, social events and 16 paid hours of time to volunteer annually. We are happy to hear you enjoy your co-workers, the coffee and recognize the work we are doing to enhance the lives of our residents. Management has a responsibility to lead by example and we take your concerns seriously. As always, you should feel free to discuss your situation directly with a member of our HR team.

Pros

Ever see the movie office space? This is it in real life. Worked from field supervisor up to RTM Director in less than a year. The higher you go the less work that you do. By this I mean you get tied down in meeting after meeting and lunch after lunch to discuss what you already know. Great benefits and if your smart you get away early every Friday so you have time off.

Cons

The HR department is a joke. They actually have subordinates spy and report on the management. Your management team will be replaced every year or at max 18 months. This is due to failure of company leaders to hit goals. You will be blamed and out the door you go. I left and within 6 months new regional President was fired. Told him the day I left he would never make it. The lack of professionalism in the office is the down fall. The new resource manager has family working on IH homes and previous employee has all the cleaning. This is against the rules but there is no management anymore. If you are in management never try to help a subordinate especially if opposite sex as you will be bought in by HR and accused of sexual misgivings. The whole issue with IH is the leasing department from the President all the way down still blames Rehab Dept. for their failure to keep units occupied and stay at 70%. Even when they know that the homes are now over priced and tenants are moving over to smaller better run companies. IH better wake up as this market starts to fall so will the funds that are financing this beast..

Pros

Start up company Fast paced innovative Technology driven

Cons

I was the 1st employee when IH open this office and the folks that started the company should've never left!! I know their departure was part of the plan but they were the guys that all of us WANTED to work for. The new regime (senior leadership/Dallas) are worried about 2 things, "numbers" and themselves. Best thing that could happen, IH goes public and LF(COO) gets booted out!!
