Pros

One of the most important things that has always stood out to me since joining Invoca is the values the company has that align with how I live my life. Invoca allows for the flexibility I need to be successfully both personally and professionally. I work with people who I consider to be my friends, to solve problems for our customers by working on difficult but exciting problems!

Cons

Invoca is undergoing a lot of growth. As expected, that comes with growing pains which takes some figuring out in areas like salary banding, projecting head count, etc. That said, the majority of this pain is often absorbed by the right people, making it (hopefully) transparent to the majority.

Pros

It’s a fun environment for an entry level employee and they do preach collaboration and culture as important aspects of the company.

Cons

Benefits aren’t great, and the pay is far below average for the role and area. They basically try and brainwash you with culture adds and small start up perks that at this point are common at almost every company. Also they act like their technology is saving the world and they are making it a better place. It’s call center analytics. Nothing ground breaking. Also the interview process was pretty rigorous for a job that isn’t that complicated.

At Invoca, we believe it’s critical to be a collaborative, respectful workplace where all team members can thrive. We work closely with an industry standard salary benchmarking company to ensure that compensation is competitive for companies of our size, revenue, and geography for each role in the company. We do the same for benefits to ensure that we are doing the right thing. We do feel that our technology is ground breaking and industry experts recognize this. We were awarded a “Hot Vendor in Conversational Analytics for 2019 by Aragon Research, also named the Best Call Analytics Platform in the exclusive Marketing Technology Awards and received 2019 Artificial Intelligence Excellence Award from Business Intelligence Group. Most importantly, we have been recognized by Inc. Magazine as a Best Workplaces two years in a row. We regret that your experience with Invoca was not a good one. We do take all feedback very seriously and use it to help us grow and be a better place.

Pros

There are some very smart people still left in the company because of the lack of competition Invoca has with other SaaS companies in Santa Barbara.

Cons

The company pays 15-30% below market rate for nearly all positions and locations. This has a compounding affect on the caliber of people in all departments, particularly management. There are incompetent people in key positions that offer no vision or leadership whatsoever, making it nearly impossible to execute day to day responsibilities with any efficiency or scale. There is no cross-departmental collaboration whatsoever, and CS is seen as expendable second class citizens, which is mostly seen in services, which is total chaos. There is clearly a gambit taking place with top leadership to see if the company can be acquired before collapsing, so there is a lot of risk associated with joining this company.

At Invoca, we believe it’s critical to pay all of our employees fairly. We work closely with an industry standard salary benchmarking company to ensure that compensation is competitive for companies of our size, revenue, and geography for each role. We regret that you felt that Invoca is not doing well. 2018 was the most successful year in company history, and we are focused on building a world-class business over the long term, where employees can build great careers and make meaningful contributions to the business. We are sorry that you didn’t see that opportunity at Invoca.
