Pros

Your coworkers are generally nice people and the subject matter is extremely interesting.

Cons

They’re constantly cutting benefits and pay - particularly for those that are below director level. They’ve now removed all bonus potential for levels below director despite requiring 70+ hour work weeks. Promotions are sparse and almost nobody will get promoted to director, instead they choose to hire outside for that. In fact, expect to train new hires that get paid more than you on a regular basis. We now work from home but have never received any kind of stipend for having to buy office equipment or the increased stress on our utility bills. The employees now foot the bill for the companies office expenses.

Thank you for sharing this feedback. We’re glad to hear that you like the people you work with, and you find the subject matter you work on extremely interesting. As we’ve brought together seven companies over the last two years, we have had to make some changes to bonus eligibility; however, we’ve kept employee premiums, copays and deductibles generally flat despite the rising cost of health care throughout the U.S. At the start of the pandemic, the company implemented a 10% pay cut, and, we were able to return the pay cut by year end which is something most companies were unable to do. With regard to mass lay-offs, we’ve brought seven companies together over the past 2 years, and we’ve committed to retaining as many employees as possible - we have not had mass lay-offs. In 2021, we grew our headcount. We want our employees to develop and grow at the company, and we have recently tightened up our programs to encourage our employees to seek internal opportunities. We would like to talk with you about your concerns and experience at J.D. Power, please reach out to HR, your manager, or send an email to the VoE (Voice of the Employee) email box. - J.D. Power
