Was given a "promotion" to run a store in Baltimore (mondawnin) was expected to sell over priced merchandise to customers that were more than willing to tell you so. Should have stayed in towson

Discount. .Part-timers are great, and meeting customers was always fun.

Cons

EVERYTHING else. Store / District managers need absolutely no credentials, maturity or talent. Pay was worse than my first job straight out of high school at a supermarket. Never worked less than 50 hours a week. Only worked there a year and we went through 5 different managers in that time.. turnover rate is horrendous.

you get some sort of discount. meaning you only get $40 a month to use as discount on anything in the store. the only pro is when its Christmas. you'll only commission then.

Cons

I worked here for 8 months. you get a weekly base pay of $140(some lower and some higher) then you better hope you sell because you only get 4% of what you sell. If you work as a co-manager they'll work you 50-70 hours a week. mostly open to close shifts. the store manager at my location didn't do much other than scream and treat the employees like they were dirt. I had one of the highest sales for the company and best numbers for the store and was looked past when time to get my own store.if you know how to kiss up you might move up in the company.also a lot of shady business within higher management.
