Pros

Journeys is a great place to work if you don't have a college degree, are not sure what you really want to do, or if your look prohibits you from working at most other places (tattoos, piercings, etc...). I worked for the company for 5 years. I gained a lot of valuable experience working there but it didn't mesh well with the rest of my life goals.

Cons

Don't plan on making a career out of Journeys if you ever want to go back to school. It is almost looked down upon. Journeys is a horrible place to work if you have a family or kids. It is a lot of hours so even on your days off you will be so tired that it makes it hard to do much of anything else. There were many times around holidays I would clear 60+ hours a week. I don't think any week as a manager I ever did less than 50 hrs.

Pros

Plenty of customer interaction at the store I was working in.

Cons

Long tiring hours but that's if you're working as a full timer. They don't give you too many hours if you're a part timer. They call you to ask if you can work although the schedule is out and it's your designated day off. Super strict about sales goals. Inconsistent scheduling.

Pros

One of the best aspects of the company is being able to meet lots of new, friendly people without having to act like a sales person. Yes, we have goals we must meet like any company, but generally, if one simply asserts their self and gives their best effort, they will succeed.

Cons

Pushing sales can become very stressful, especially during busier seasons where people only want certain items that are not available or cannot be delivered to them in time.
