Pros

I worked at two separate locations in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. My experience in Wisconsin was great. It had a fun, laid-back environment with realistic goals and a wonderful team. I had a green mohawk and could dress however I wanted, in fact, they actually encouraged me to dress a little over the top because it would attract curious customers. Discount was 40% off and if you did inventory, you had first dibs on all of the new arrivals. Very flexible scheduling.

Cons

District managers and people higher than them treat you like dirt. I was overworked at my store in Pennsylvania and was paid minimum wage when I was doing the work of three people. I even had to teach my new manager on how to organize the back room. Selling at the Pennsylvania location even made ME uncomfortable. You have to sell a certain amount of shoes, socks, and accessories (shirts, bags, headphones, etc) and if you don't make your goal, you get three warnings before getting fired. I hated hounding people to buy socks when they told me 5 times they didn't care or didn't have the money. My manager would be watching over me like a hawk and asking if I sold them socks while I was ringing them up. You had at least one on call shift every week or so, which gets old after a while. Very hard to move up in the company unless you stick it out for a long time.

Pros

40% off everything. That is just about the only good thing about this company. I wasted over two years here and have nothing to show for it. I BUSTED MY ASS! For nothing...they appreciate no one

Cons

Everything and anything about this company is a con. They treat you like complete crap, no matter if you're just a part timer or you're management. Forced to work AT LEAST 45 hrs a week as a manager, usually you work 50+, especially during Back to School and Holidays and you actually will work about 60+. Management OT is HALF time....HALF time!! Are you kidding me!? This company has a horrible turn over rate. They don't care if you're happy or not because they will pretty much tell you there is plenty of people out there that will do your job. I worked for Journey's for 2 years and in my last year there, I probably saw over 10 different management changes throughout my district....that is ridiculous! They will promise you a promotion, but just dick you around until you either quit or they can fire you. Most pathetic excuse for a company. Will never even shop here again!
