Pros

Very fast upward movement available! I always feel valued and appreciated by those above me, the opportunities to travel are by far my favorite. My staff and coworkers are some of the best people I've ever met. And my trip to Nashville for my 100k increase is officially a core memory for me!!

Cons

Takes guts. Understaffedness is an obstacle you can overcome with proper training and support which is available with the company. Must love to be up and moving! Holiday seasons are hard but worth it $$$$

Not as Good as it Seems

Pros

Discount, good co workers, relaxed environment

Cons

As a full time manager the minimum hours are 45+ hours a week. I often went without lunches on 12 hour days. Commission is good only in peak times anything other than that for 45 hours of work you’ll get maybe $600 a week. Initially you’re given a pay plan that looks good at first but that’s counting in the weekly commissions you’re goaled to get, if you don’t make them it’s -$200 of your projected salary for that week. There are definitely favorites being played in every district. I have gone three months without a store visit from my district manager. Only contacted on a weekly basis to ask why we aren’t hitting goals, in the middle of a pandemic, when people are broke, in the middle of the slowest season of the year. Definitely relaxed but at what cost? Absolutely 0 work life balance and as a general manager I can afford to work and barely pay bills. If I had a looking glass when I accepted this position I wouldn’t have.

Cons

Poor upper management. Bully tactics. Manipulative. Once you are not liked, it's only time before you are forced out.
