Pros

Pros - -Other kids I worked with were cool -discount was 40%

Cons

Cons- -The manager had a "favorite system" so if she didn't like you, you were a nobody -Manager talked trash about employees behind their back -the hours were terrible and if you ask for more, they will give you one extra day a week then cancel it and say "it was a slow day" -manager and co-manager took all my sales because they are based on commission and I was hourly -I worked there for almost a year, and got 9 hours a week max. People that worked there for a month were getting 25-30 hours (even after the manager was done talking trash). And I knew what I was doing and how to get things done.

Pros

40% off shoes The ability for growth within the company Laid back dress code Sales goals and add on sales are able to be hit if you are persistent Commission based salary can be great during holidays

Cons

What they tell you in the interviews about the perks of commission based selling is exaggerated. Pay is not as nice as initially pitched No understanding of personal life or time off. Hour flexibility is almost non-existent. Very little guidance from upper management to store managers In stores with only two managers you're required to work a 12 hour shift every week. No matter what If you are given time off, your other managers have to cover for you, making them work 2-3 12 hour days in a row Expectations and sales goals can be unrealistic with over dramatic consequences when they aren't hit.
