Pros
Discount, co-workers, ability to be promoted based on merit.
Cons
Store managers are offered anywhere from $150- $300 as there weekly base pay, plus commission, and a percentage of the stores sales. Which means if you sell nothing for a week to only made your base pay ex. $200. You are also required to work 45 hours a week but in all actuality it's closer to 60 if you have other managers in your store but if it's just you then you are working 80 hours a week. They work you to the bone. There is no life outside of Journeys. No time for friends and no time for family. I see all of the reviews on here about how it's fun and if you don't think so then it's not for you. That right there is current DM'so and people that want to get promoted trying to save face. This company will suck you dry. I have seen it happen to a ton of employees. Some it just takes longer for it to hit them. The turn over rate for managers is rediculous. The district I was in saw 21 managers leave (that i know of) in the year and a half that I was there...21!
