Pros

The discount is pretty nice and you meet some interesting people.

Cons

This position is built on taking advantage of confused young people to try to convince them that working 80-90 hours a week is somehow a good idea as an 18 year old.

Pros

Fun! Fun! Fun! Hard work pays off and is praised. This is a great place for social people to thrive! Great music! Great product! With the right upper management employees can really develop and grow with the company! It's very satisfying to see your performance impact the buisness. It's also great that employees can easily contact home office departments to help them with personal things or to discuss ways to improve their location. If you are performing, employees are made sure to feel appreciated and apart of the team (the entire Journeys team). It can be extremely rewarding.

Cons

Management schedules are intense! 45-60 hour work weeks that rotate 5 and 6 day work weeks. There's not much of a work/life balance for co managers or store managers. Slow season can equal lower pay. Employees are quickly reprimanded for missing a goal. Some DM's are great as others cut corners and do an extremely poor job of developing their team among other things. Benefits take a year to kick in for full-time staff.

Pros

Team members were nice/sweet and helpful, 40% discount was great, breaks were paid, sales were easy due to the mall we were located in.

Cons

Back room disorganized and dysfunctional, manager was rude and didn't seem to care about anyone, also made up lies to associate family & denied them when confronted about it. Still hasn't paid me for the hours I've worked.
