Pros

The owner is generous and thoughtful. I have watched him repeatedly provide opportunities for people to thrive and be successful - even on occasion when the person themselves didn't realize they had that in them. KAIP is generous with compensation and invests in training programs for individuals to further their growth. If you want to add value, build professional coalitions, and support some meaningful initiatives across several industries from California to New York KAI Partners is a great place to be a part of something special. In addition, KAI Partners is one of the most diverse companies I've ever worked for in my career.

Cons

Because KAI hires talent across the nation, work hours have to adjust sometimes to meet the workday of clients in different time zones.

Pros

Remote environment Decent salary Paid-for trainings

Cons

No budget for equipment for remote workers (most employees are remote), who have to spend their own money on mouses, monitors, etc. Abysmal time off policy Even though clients are government agencies, KAI employees do not get the same holidays off If a holiday such as Christmas or New Years Day falls on a weekend, KAI employees do not get a paid holiday during the week CEO has high standards but is unable to communicate what those are and is not available for support Unclear corporate structure: different managers want different things and there are too many cooks in the kitchen, which stresses out the staff and wastes time and resources--not good for productivity

Pros

Remote work; flexible schedule; great co-workers; exciting initiatives as a growing company; work is achievable

Cons

Benefits could be improved. Focus is on hours worked for client, although professional development or life balance are touted, that's not what what occurs in practice. What matters is generating billable hours; fair, since that's the single revenue source, but it's demoralizing to know that's all your good for.
