Pros

Only hesitation to posting the review was that I couldn’t post 0 stars. Pro for them that I had to give them 1 undeserved star

Cons

Managers don’t have a clue what they’re doing and largely never even spoke to me Did layoffs after not hitting our sales numbers, but were hiring after knowing we didn’t hit our numbers. Incompetent leadership? 100% We laid off people the week before thanksgiving and from what I heard only gave them 2 weeks severance..you can be a trash company without also being trash people. Sadly keeper is both I luckily found another job and was able to leave voluntarily, but i’m not surprised to see how pathetic the company has continued to prove to be. Bad product, bad people, bad leaders, poor balance sheet, etc…

Like many other companies in the Tech Space right now, Keeper has had to make some hard decisions in order to best honor our stakeholders, customers, and most importantly, our hard working employees. As such, it was very important to us that we went through an Optimization Evaluation to understand if there were any underperforming team members or under-utilized resources. As part of that exercise, we identified some individuals who had been underperforming (despite coaching outreach) and some roles that were non-essential or redundant. We continue to hire as our company is continuing to grow, and sometimes the hires we make aren’t always the right fit for the role, which is ok! We understand that we don’t always get it right but are committed to excellence for us and our customers.

Pros

A lot of leadership positions are open on a regular basis because of turnover...3 VP of sales in about 2 years, CMO ”left”, VP of people gone, Director of PR gone, Director of sales gone. So opportunities to get those leadership positions if they didn’t always hire externally.

Cons

CEO is a micromanager. They use scare tactics, guessing that’s why some bad reviews were taken down. Sued a respected tech journalist which did not help reputation in Infosec. CEO yells at people all the time. “Free snacks” limited per day and bins are often empty. Free meal once every other week, but food is not that good and always made me sick. No 401k match, it’s been “in the works” for a long time now. NO EQUITY?!? Yea, CEO doesn’t share the wealth, yet brags about old company and how he is increasing sales year over year. Everyone has a foot out the door. CEO always yelled if staff wasn’t staying late, yet their head of customer success (CEO’s stepson) was able to come and go whenever he wanted. Technology is a joke for a tech company. I had a really crappy computer, performed slow. Think they’d buy a new one right?! Nope! There are good reviews on here, but they asked brand new employees to write reviews before they knew any better.

We would like to stress that we always welcome constructive feedback at Keeper and are thankful for the comments that can help us add to the growth of our workplace and team, however some of your comments are not aligned to be bettering. As head of HR I can say without a doubt that all concerns brought to me are listened to, reflected upon, and taken seriously and no employee (past or present) has come to me with these concerns in my 10 year tenure at the company. We truly value all of our employees and go above and beyond to help everyone succeed and meet their full potential. We strive to make a positive, productive, creative, and innovative perk filled workplace where the words friends and coworkers are interchangeable as evidenced by the numerous positive reviews and longevity of our core employees.

So many negatives

Pros

Location, snacks, catered lunches, good company to have on resume if you are looking to get your foot in the door at other startups

Cons

So many...first off there is not much of a culture. People in other departments don't really talk or acknowledge each other, not the most welcoming company culture. People in upper management positions frequently leave or are fired. Some people almost seemed brain washed into thinking this is the best company to work for when it is not everyone is miserable or scared. People will think you are insane for leaving and moving on...and by reading other reviews on here do you really want to be apart of a company where the ceo tracks people down and scares them into taking down their honest reviews. There is so much more I WANT to include in this but am honestly too worried now about being tracked down and threatened...

As mentioned previously, we at Keeper always welcome feedback of any kind, even if we do not necessarily see eye to eye. As Human Resources, I try very hard to foster a welcoming open flow of communication with all employees and wish that you had brought your views and concerns to my attention during your time here, as they could have been addressed appropriately. Just like people, all companies have unique cultures, and sometimes that culture is not a ‘one size fits all.’ While it sounds unfortunately like our company might not have been the best fit for you, the tenure and longevity of our workforce speaks volumes as to what kind of comradery and team culture can be accomplished when it is the right fit. If you’d like to address this more offline, confidentially of course, please feel free to email me at lauren@keepersecurity.com.
