Pros

It is truly a beautiful, aesthetically pleasing place to work. The guests are classy but still down to earth - only some are hard to please. I got to work alone which I loved, but even though I always worked independently I still got to know a handful of pretty awesome coworkers from every department. The concierge lounge shifts were a breeze and I got to watch the morning news, the in-room dining server shifts on the other hand..

Cons

I always stock and clean up for the next person, but it really sucks coming in at 5:30 in the morning to a mess left from last night. In-room dining was monotonous, the entire 9 hours I sat in a chair and wondered what my purpose in life even was. I know it's hard to gauge how many room deliveries there will be a day, but if I'm getting 0-3 orders during a 9 hour shift every day for a month, why would I want to stay there? I thinks its completely unnecessary to have anyone there from 11-4. At orientation one of the companies selling points to employees was that they frequently promote within. Everyone I've seen in positions above crew were hired externally, and weren't even all that..

Pros

Trail by fire. Constant turnover so you'll get great experience. Staff that works for you does a great job.

Cons

Constant turnover. Corporate doesn't give you the tools to succeed and has you work multiple jobs without paying you for it. Corporate wants change but doesn't have the people in place for it and doesn't want to pay for it.
