Pros

I enjoyed many of the hiring managers I worked with. Company offers stability as a long standing brand and is continuing to expand.

Cons

My time under my leader and her direct leader was deeply disappointing. Both present themselves as supportive and invested in their teams, but in reality their main priority is protecting their own image and advancing their own careers. Rather than fostering genuine growth or collaboration, they rely on performative “support” that feels hollow and insincere. Feedback is inconsistent, recognition is superficial, and when real challenges arise, they deflect responsibility instead of stepping up as true leaders. The bigger issue is that this behavior is not a secret. The leader who they both report up to, is fully aware of these long-standing problems. Unfortunately, instead of addressing them, he allows this dysfunction to continue unchecked. It seems clear that because of his family connection to the company, he is unwilling (or unable) to hold his leaders accountable. This weak oversight enables a culture of inauthenticity and self-preservation at the expense of the employees who keep things running. If you value integrity, accountability, and authentic leadership, you will not find it here.

Pros

Some great co-workers, benefits (not comp) are good, decent coffee, depending on your department, work-life balance is good

Cons

There is very little advancement, next to no yearly increases, and no tolerance if you want to suggest a change or improvement. Resources, especially staffing, are completely off-balance due to family in-fighting. The structure is completely 'siloed' and makes for many inefficiencies. If you're not a family member or friend, don't bother. Not to mention there is practically no diversity in upper management. At the end of the day, it's about the family getting their large checks.

Poor Leadership, Benefits, and Culture

Pros

The actual individual contributors that you interact with on a daily basis are phenomenal, especially the recruiting and sales teams. Lots of people really care about what the do and how they do things, but once you get up into Sr. Leadership, it's very much a "good ole boys" kind of club.

Cons

Terrible retention of employees. The culture is very poor. Sr. Leadership is very retaliatory in some of their practices and they really don't seem to care about their people that much. Benefits, especially time off, are extremely poor. Pretty much zero work/life balance and they do a great job of making you feel terrible for being a parent and wanting to spend any time with your children. Also, word for the wise: if you are planning on getting pregnant while you work for Klein, don't. You will constantly be shamed for being pregnant and HR Leadership will straight up call you derogatory names for having children and laugh it off. There were insanely inappropriate things said about those who were pregnant at a baby shower and to this day, nothing has been done about it and I can almost guarantee that nothing will ever be done about it because leadership doesn't seem to care about their workers as they say they do. They care more about you working all hours of the day and not taking any time away from work to be with your family. Never had I worked for a company that fought so hard for me not to take one of my sick or PTO days. Compensation across the board is very low as well. Very rarely will they pay people above the mid-point of a pay range and will go out of the way to not include bonuses, decent commission payouts or anything else to help counteract the poor benefits.
