Fast-Paced Role with Little Recognition and Poor Leadership
Pros
If you're considering a Talent Acquisition role here, be aware that while the fast-paced environment can be energizing, the overall experience was disappointing and discouraging.
Cons
The pay was far below what is fair for the volume and complexity of the work. I was frequently assigned high-level, hard-to-fill roles that leadership had been unsuccessful in hiring for — I filled them successfully, yet received no recognition or reward for the results I delivered. Instead, I was micromanaged and picked apart over trivial issues that had no impact on outcomes. The biggest challenge, however, was the culture. Leadership frequently displayed favoritism, and high performers were often publicly disrespected or mistreated. It quickly became clear that advancement and security had more to do with personality politics than performance. If you're not willing to play along or “suck up,” your contributions won’t be valued. Unfortunately, my time there ended in a toxic, drama-filled environment where the actual issues — lack of empathy, poor leadership, and misaligned priorities — were never addressed. Instead, focus was placed on petty interpersonal conflict over the real, systemic problems. Unless you're someone who thrives in highly political environments and is willing to prioritize appearances over real impact, I’d recommend looking elsewhere.
