Pros
Some very capable coworkers, some very interesting projects. Some opportunity for career progress and geographical transfers for low and mid-level technical professionals.
Cons
Upper management pays lip service to employee satisfaction, but profitability is always the 900 pound gorilla in the room. The very top tier direct owners always seem to be financially looked out for, but the ESOP has not benefitted rank and file employees for several years.
